Alex Konstantinidis is an architect with 37 years of professional experience in a wide range of building types such as, healthcare, office, educational/campus, justice, airport and museum facilities, domestic and foreign. This involvement with programs, owners and consultants in diverse projects has instilled a great sense of environmental, functional and budgetary responsibility to his design process.
Alex’s approach to design is one of simplicity, frugality, functionality, innovation, unadorned aesthetic balance in the contextual setting, all accomplished by a totally collaborative design effort, with great emphasis on team building with open, direct communications, and thorough involvement by the client/user group.
Alex has a Bachelor of Design in Architecture (High Honors) degree and a Master’s Degree in Architecture from the University of Florida, has served as a member of the Professional Liaison Committee of the University of Florida Architectural Program and has been a frequent student projects guest critic at UF and USF.
Alex has been a recipient of the Eduardo Garcia Award for Design Excellence by a Young Architect – AIA Tampa Bay, an Environmentally Sensitive Design award from the City of Tampa, Design Excellence awards from the Masonry Association of Florida and projects he was involved with have received design awards from the local chapter of the American Institute of Architects.
Alex is responsible for program evaluation, existing conditions analysis, code compliance, master planning, site options, building design, client, engineer and specialty consultant coordination with a direct involvement throughout the design and construction processes.
