St. Joseph's Hospital Admitting
The goals of the Main Lobby project include an upgrade to the finishes and general character of the primary entrance to the hospital as well as implementing privacy screening meeting the new health care privacy guidelines (HIPPA). The information and guidance functions are given more prominence, while a more discreet security office is added.
Within the Admitting areas, a primary goal is to increase patient privacy, particularly during the admissions process, but at the same time maintain the flexibility and security which is created by an open-office environment.
In both areas, finishes and materials are chosen which lighten and brighten the spaces. Locations are designed to accommodate specific pieces of artwork and hospital graphic materials. All work was phased and coordinated to allow functions to continue without interruption.
